About

Guiding Instead of Fixing

I’m Stephanie Engleman, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with over seven years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families in school, community, home-based, and outpatient mental health settings. I specialize in working with children ages 4 to 17 and am passionate about helping youth navigate emotional, behavioral, and life challenges in a supportive, compassionate, and meaningful way. I hold an Associate of Science and Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, along with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Throughout my career, I have worked as a Family Support Assistant, Youth Case/Care Manager, Behavioral Intervention Specialist, Comprehensive School and Community Treatment Therapist, and Outpatient Therapist. These experiences have allowed me to collaborate closely with families, schools, and community supports to provide individualized care tailored to each client’s unique needs. I believe children should be met where they are and guided rather than “fixed.” Building strong therapeutic relationships through authenticity, honesty, compassion, and trust. I often describe myself as “a big kid at heart,” which helps me naturally connect with children and adolescents while creating a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where they feel comfortable being themselves. My counseling approach is rooted in empathy, unconditional positive regard, and collaboration. I strive to empower children and families by helping them build resilience, strengthen coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and work toward lasting growth and success. Above all, I remain committed to ensuring the wellbeing and best interest of my clients are always at the forefront of my work.
